XiaYi 嘉 苡

Xia Yi 嘉 苡 (born and based in Kuala Lumpur) is a photographer and art director working across multiple genres of imagery by taking real life and turning them into her own utopian universe as an escape from the reality of our world. The little to no distinction between her personal, editorials and commercial work is often carefully composed with a highly attuned sense of colour and composition. Her practice explores the physical aspect of book and zine-making, photographic prints and experiments with digital manipulations within the intersection of personal identity, memory and history.

She has previously pursued BA in Fashion Journalism at Central Saint Martins, London and has since been actively involved behind the camera and participating in programmes and exhibitions.
